S’mores Cups Recipe: Gooey Chocolate and Marshmallow Treat

S’mores cups — enjoy all the flavor of a classic campfire treat without needing an outdoor fire! These bite-sized desserts are always a hit. I was asked three times in the past month to bring them to different events, so they clearly make a crowd smile.

You’ll probably become everyone’s favorite when you bring these. Quick, portable, and delicious!
Course: Dessert
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 7 minutes
Total Time: 22 minutes
Servings: 35

Ingredients

  • 14 graham crackers finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup butter melted
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • about 20 marshmallows cut in half
  • 6 Hershey’s bars broken into individual squares

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spray a mini muffin pan with non-stick spray.
  • In a bowl, combine the finely chopped graham crackers, melted butter, and powdered sugar until evenly mixed.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the crumb mixture into each muffin cup. Use the bottom of the measuring spoon to press the crumbs into a small bowl shape to form the crust.
  • Bake the crusts for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and quickly top each warmed crust with one Hershey’s square and half a marshmallow (cut side down). Return to the oven for 2 minutes, just until the marshmallow softens and the chocolate melts slightly.
  • Let the s’mores cups cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
  • Melt any remaining chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth—be careful not to burn it.
  • Place the melted chocolate in a small zip-top bag, snip a tiny corner, and drizzle chocolate over the cooled s’mores cups. Allow them to set on the cooling rack for about an hour before serving.
