Ahh… fresh strawberries. There’s nothing quite like the burst of sweetness from a perfectly ripe berry — it’s pure summertime in every bite. May is a special month in the produce world: it’s both National Salad Month and National Strawberry Month, so we combined the two into a bright, easy salad kabob recipe.

Strawberries are more than just delicious. These red jewels support heart health, are rich in vitamin C, and provide a good source of manganese. They also promote digestion and, according to research, may help reduce stroke risk. Paired with creamy avocado and tender baby spinach, strawberries make a refreshing and nutrient-packed salad option.
In this recipe, strawberries take the spotlight, while avocado adds creaminess and baby spinach contributes a pleasant, leafy texture. The combination is simple, colorful, and satisfying — perfect for a picnic, potluck, or a quick summer appetizer.
How to Make Strawberry Salad Kabobs
These kabobs come together quickly once your ingredients are prepped. To build each kabob: thread one strawberry onto a skewer, add an avocado wedge, roll a small handful of baby spinach, then finish with another strawberry on top. The layered presentation is both attractive and easy to eat.

We like poppy seed dressing with these kabobs for the sweet-and-tangy contrast, but any vinaigrette or creamy dressing you prefer will work beautifully. If you enjoy homemade dressings, try a citrus vinaigrette or a raspberry-based dressing to enhance the berry flavor.
