The delightful sequel to Singing in the Rain.
Murphy’s Law:
If you are out running and a rainstorm strikes, it will happen when you are far from home.
Unfortunately, Murphy doesn’t seem to be on my side. I double-checked the forecast: it said “scattered showers beginning at 10AM.”

The forecast was wrong for me. It was clear when I left at 7 with only a 10% chance of precipitation at 8, but by about 7:45, a sudden downpour started.

When I finally made it home, my mom was waiting for me.
What did she have in her hands?
A. a soft, dry towel?
B. a warm cup of tea?
Nope — a camera, ready to capture my drenched, silly look. Thanks, Mom!
She said, “I figured you’d want to post a photo for your blog friends to see.” She knew me well. Luckily, she did have a towel for me after the photo shoot.
Question of the Day:
Have you ever been caught in a sudden rainstorm? Has Murphy’s Law ever ruined your plans?
For some reason, it often rains when I have groceries to carry out to the car. As for running in the rain, I ended up enjoying it. The shower cooled me off. At first the rain stung my eyes, which was annoying, but I adjusted my head position and it stopped being a problem. I felt pretty adventurous—until my dad reminded me he used to play soccer in thunderstorms all the time.
If you think I look silly soaking wet, take a look at these other photos for a laugh. 🙂
