I think this may be my favorite beach so far. We’ve visited many beaches around Cape Town, and each one has its own charm, but this spot stood out. It was quiet, largely uncrowded, clean, and had strikingly clear water and soft sand. During our visit a couple was getting married right on the shore, which added a sweet, memorable touch to the scene.

At the entrance we were greeted by a warning sign reminding visitors of the ocean’s power and the need to be cautious. The water looked inviting, but I wasn’t about to go deeper than ankle-high. That didn’t deter the surfers, though—they seemed unfazed by the advisories and were out enjoying the waves.

The shoreline here, like many around Cape Town, is dotted with large boulders. When they’re accessible, the rocks are fun to climb and offer excellent vantage points for photos and for just sitting above the water. I’m more cautious about scrambling up them, but my fiancé seems to relish every climb. So there was plenty of rock-hopping during our visit.

He paused long enough for me to take one of my favorite photos of him, and it was worth the effort—the view from those rocks is really something special.

From higher up you can see why the scenery is so captivating. The contrast of the rugged stone against the clear blue water creates a dramatic, peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to tire of.

Small lizards scurried among the rocks, a familiar sight across many parts of Cape Town. Their quick movements added a lively, local detail to the landscape.

Even looking back toward the land offered incredible views. The surrounding hills and coastline framed the beach beautifully, making every direction worth photographing and lingering over.

Visits like this remind me why I never get tired of Cape Town’s beaches. Each one offers a fresh combination of light, texture, and color, and this particular beach combined peaceful solitude with striking natural beauty.

The quiet moments, the sound of waves against the rocks, and the occasional sighting of wildlife all make these visits memorable. Whether for reflection, a scenic walk, or a spontaneous climb, this beach delivered everything we hoped for and more.
