Picture this: azaleas in full bloom, the sun shining, and the Masters Tournament on the screen. I’m hosting my first Masters watching party at home and you’re invited—it’s sure to be a hole in one!

I love themed parties, especially ones that bring friendly competition. The Masters is one of golf’s most iconic events, played across four days until the excitement of Masters Sunday. It’s the best day for fans of the game.
First things first: set the scene. I wanted to create a little slice of Augusta National at home. Since the weather cooperated, I set everything up on our back lanai to keep things simple, comfortable, and festive. Most decor and props were purchased online for convenience.

The Food
Now for the best part: the food. The Masters leans into Southern fare—sandwiches are a staple, with pimento cheese and egg salad among the most famous offerings. BBQ ribs and peach cobbler also fit the theme perfectly and make great additions to any menu.

To keep things easy for guests, I served a creamy pimento cheese dip with an assortment of crackers, including gluten-free options for those with sensitivities. It’s a simple way to recreate the Masters vibe without making sandwiches for everyone.

I also made homemade egg salad and served it in brioche bun tops so each portion stands up nicely on the platter. A sprinkle of minced chives adds color and freshness.

Drinks
The unofficial cocktail of the Masters is the Azalea: bright, light, and easy to make. It pairs well with spring weather and tournament viewing.
Azalea Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 parts vodka
- 1 part lemon juice
- 1 part pineapple juice
- splash of grenadine

An Arnold Palmer—half iced tea, half lemonade—is another classic option. Add vodka if you want an alcoholic version for grown-up guests.
Donut Golf Tee Board
To echo the course, I used turf as a table runner to mimic the green. For a playful centerpiece, I layered turf over a foam block and hammered golf tees into it, then placed donut holes on the tees for a fun, themed display.

For savory bites, I cooked chicken apple sausages and served them with ketchup and “golf ball” toothpicks for easy dipping and snacking.

I also made lime-green Jello shots in plastic cups, topped with tiny red flags and a mini marshmallow to look like golf balls. For family-friendly fun, keep some alcohol-free and mark adult versions separately by using different colored flags.

For a quirky touch, I drilled small holes through plastic golf balls and threaded straws through them to make golf ball straws—simple to make and a fun detail for the table.

Activities/Games
No viewing party is complete without friendly competition. Try a Masters-themed trivia game that tests knowledge of past champions and memorable moments while guests cheer on their favorites.

If you want to up the stakes, use a tournament pool or printable golf pool cards so everyone can track players and picks throughout the event. It’s an easy way to keep guests engaged across the full weekend.
Attire
Embrace tradition with attire in shades of green, golf-inspired outfits, or simply comfortable spring clothes. You don’t need a green jacket—casual golf wear or a white jumpsuit fits the vibe well.
Party Tips
Make sure there are multiple viewing stations so every guest can follow the action. A big-screen TV inside and a projector outside are both great options depending on your space and weather. Arrange seating so groups can mingle while still seeing the screen.
